Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I've raised both Buff Orpingtons and Barred Rocks (still have Buff Orpingtons) and they are wonderful breeds. My children, and now my granddaughter (pictured in my avatar) made lap pets of our Orpingtons. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Nice to have you here, I tried to tell people newbies come back here when they need more advice, no one wanted to believe me. So you are proof. Sometimes making decisions is a long time situation. I don't usually jump into anything either. I used to be afraid of toads - never saw them in the city but, had loads of them since moving here 45 years ago. Kept hearing all the 'old wives' tales about getting warts from them.' Never happened but, they do tend to pee when you pick them up.
