Am I able to get one for my chicken who really isn’t any therapy animal? Or do I need some sort of proof she’s been through training and is a service animal.

Life about not service. Emotional Support Animal. Once you have the document that the chicken is your emotional support animal there is nothing the county can do. Tell the doctor about the emotional support the hen gives you. From what we have seen here is that is the 100% truth.

This is a must do. Time is wasting. hashing it to death without asking here what you really need it futile. If you get the emotional support certificate I don't see how the county harass you. Are you still in high school? If so there is another loop hole that you can be home schooled in agriculture and laying hens can be your required project. Find out from the county. I would got to work first thing in the morning for the ESA for the chicken.

Doesn't this hen really help you emotionally? It sure sounds like it the way you went crying into your room.

It’s a little confusing but therapy animals, service animals, and emotional support animals (ESAs) are all totally separate things. Service or assistance animals are the ones you described that help blood sugar or panic attacks, guiding the blind, or whatever. They are specifically trained to perform specific tasks to mitigate a disability. And they DO NOT require any sort of certification or registration or anything. They are allowed anywhere. But are only allowed to be dogs or mini horses. ESAs are just pets with no special training and no public access rights but they are allowed on airplanes and pet free housing. They do require a letter from a doctor or psychiatrist, etc. for the housing I believe. But there’s a lot of scams online. They can be any animal I believe. Therapy animals help other people like they go to schools or nursing homes, etc. to visit with people and do require training and certification.

Thank you for this information. I knew there was another route to go but could not think of the name for it. Hopefully she can do this to save her Chicken. I too wonder about the necklace in it and how it is doing now????

I would be careful with the revenge game thing. That might not go well and could backfire. But the letter should theoretically work because it’s legal proof/prescription that you need the chicken

I totally agree with TheDawg. Neighbor wars never end up good and if you are not planning on moving in the near future it will only get uglier for both of you. I would not want to hate where I live because of a neighbor war. I am getting ready to get a new neighbor myself and I will be as nice to them as I can with all of the ducks I have. Nice neighbors are hard to find and I don't want to start out being not nice as I want them to love my ducks like I do.

I told my mom the same, she thinks she would win but a dog and a chicken are two huge differences. We are currently looking to move to a house because we are in a condo not a house and chickens are restricted in residential areas where you pay for association. Don’t know why the neighbor has a problem if everyone in our street loves our chicken, I’m talking bout the kids and their parents. She’s the only one who has a problem with this chicken and we think it’s because since she works for the association, my mom had reported about the water leakage behind our house and that lady was supposed to send someone and it took weeks so my mom kept calling and the lady got introuble because she never sent someone so we think that’s why she just now reported our chicken. Also when we first moved here there were many people who warned us about this lady, that’s why they all moved because they all had issues with her wether it was with their car or the parking lot. Everyone who left was because they wanted to avoid this lady. We miss our neighbor to this day, we remember her car got towed because of this lady and our neighbor cried and even warned us about the lady. Since this lady who works for the association lives right next to us (she is our other neighbor) it’s harder on us because she’s onto us now. She’s all mad because she never did something about the water and lied to the office saying she did. And the people who fixed the water leakage I think is her boyfriend or bestfriend. That’s why she also got mad because she didn’t want them to fix it for us. My mom kept calling and calling and sending emails and we think that’s what triggered the lady because she got introuble for lying saying it was fixed. So her karma was to report the chicken even after we’ve had her for almost 3 years now. Keep in mind too this lady who is also our neighbor and works for the association she’s hated us since day one because I moved schools and couldn’t walk with her daughter to school anymore. When this happened, the lady’s mom bashed and attacked my mom asking why the hell I moved schools. And the little girl who is her “daughter” she is actually adopted and she would always talk to me about the lady who adopted her saying very bad things about her and how she mistreated the poor girl. So that lady herself has issues and tries to get control over people by triggering their peace. That’s why she reported our chicken. She’s mad I moved schools back in 2018, and she’s mad that she got introuble for lying to the office about fixing our water issue.

The necklace still hasn’t been pooped but the chicken has gotten so much more better. The medicine helped so much. Given from the vet, I’m worried because if my siste does take her that means she won’t be taking her medicine anymore because my sister works and so does her boyfriend and they wouldn’t know how to. Also my sister has 5 cats so she would be focused on them since the chicken will be locked in another room. We are currently looking to move so we can take back the chicken but this may take months. As of right now the chicken has gotten much better tho, still has the necklace in her we hope it digests safely or gets pooped out.

This neighbor has hated us since day one all because I had to move schools so she had to start taking the daughter she adopted to school. I remember walking with her and she would always talk about how mistreated she gets and never is able to do anything and how she dislikes her mother who adopted her and never got to meet her biological mother. The people who lived here on the same street but different houses when we first moved here, they all moved because of this neighbor of ours. They had their peace disturbed and always told us to look out for the association girls that they make your life impossible. We now see that. Which is why we are looking to move but it’s hard with these expensive houses.
