Joined to find advice/tips on getting a necklace out of my chickens insides :(

I don’t think you guys understand that the reason for the cops was because my mom didn’t let me move out with the chciken. She wanted to give it away and I told her I’ll take it she said no. I said I’ll move out with it and how she can still see the chciken and she said no. I was confused cause if she wants to give it away why not give it out to me? With me it’s safe and we can still see it… she didn’t allow me and I’m 18 and the chicken Is also mine so I have the choice to leave with it or not especially if my mom’s choice was to give it out.. again she didn’t let me, that’s where the cops were going to come in, to give her reasoning that I could take it. I know a specific cop to call anyways so it’s not like I was going to dial 911, I was going to call one I knew who I bonded with at my highschool since I had his card. Either way, never called the cops I knew it would cause drama and at the time I said I would call them because of how annoyed and frustrated I felt at the thought of losing our chicken not knowing what would happen to her.

That’s still not a good reason to call the cops. And she doesn’t need to “let” you. You’re an adult. Take the chicken and go. At night or something if you have to.

She’s in a better place and Lord knows she is watching you from above. She’s may be physically gone, but not mentally. She’s still in your heart. I remember raising little duckies, I don’t blame you for having a strong bond with them. Many find that weird because they aren’t pets but I totally understand that relationship XD.

Thank you my Dear and I pray that all of this works out for the best for you and your pet Chicken. People don't understand the relationships we can have with flock animals, they look at them like they are just birds but they can mean the same to us as someone's dog or cat. Boy did I ever just think of you. I was just in our Kroger Grocery store and I saw a lady with a stroller with a Giant Rabbit in it!!! I talked to her and saw her badge above it letting people know it was an Emotional Support Animal. I have never seen anyone with a Rabbit for one in my life. It was a beautiful animal and it made me think of you.

i know why I was going to call the cops and it is especially if laws are being broken and if the association was being racist towards us and discriminating us. It was just a lot to text to put out there, again, I wasn’t able to leave yes I’m an adult but my mom is Hispanic and she is strict, I would’ve needed help to move out without her bashing on me towards it. We already received the ESA now I just have to wait till the people get back to me. The report was for the most dumbest reason you’d be surprised. Plus when Collier county showed up he was going to take the chicken (no warning… nothing) UNTIL I lied and said it wasn’t ours, that’s when he gave us two weeks. So calling the cops wouodve been helpful in that matter and also because of other issues that I just can’t put out there so it’s not just because of my mom it was for laws being broken as well. Either way I never called them and if I did it was going to be a guy I know not 911, I thought it out and decided not to.

Thank you so much, you are very sweet and very generous. I definitely understand that, but other people see them as livestock and have no heart for those who see them as more (at least with the people I’ve encountered with the association) thank you for the luck and prayers 🙏🏼❤️

AWWW HAHA THATS SO CUTE I CAN IMAGINE THAT 🤣🤣 you’d be surprised how many pets I’ve had growing up to be honest you wouldn’t even believe me, I’ve had chickens, dove birds (still do), dogs, cats, turtles, bunnies, and even a squirrel 🤣 a rabbit is just what I need!!

Okay well you never said any of those other issues or reasons before. That makes more sense. But even still I’m glad you didn’t call. And I’m glad you have the ESA letter. Although now you lied to them about it saying it wasn’t yours so now they might be a little confused on why you are now saying it is.

So sorry you lost your pet chickens. Letting go of my 7 drakes was hard. It's so easy to fall in love with these animals and so hard to let go.
