Welcome from Western Europe! I'd love see pics of your birds, especially the German Sperber and Bovans Black. I'm not familiar with those.

Have you tried using sand in the run to aid with water drainage? There are few discussions on it around the forum.

I also used to have a mud problem until I found this solution:

I didn't buy their products, but I did copy their idea by placing a sturdy pvc barrier on the ground and a thick layer of wood chips on top. It has worked wonderfully so far!
