Looking at them again. I don’t think they are. But I will keep an eye on them.

Yup. It’s part chicken, part poodle. Silkies are an amazing breed.

I have never owned one, but I have been considering it for their broodiness. Seems like every time you hear about someone putting something under a broody hen it is a silkie.

True. I weirdly enough have a broody sexlink. She goes broody just as much as silkies do. So far this year she’s been broody twice.

Also since this chick is a partridge, when does the black breast feathers come in? (If it’s a boy) I can’t find an answer to this question. Is it once they get their adult plumage? Or is it after they get their first breast feathers?

(S)he is allmost 2 months old now, this is the best I could get. Little rascal won’t stay still. (Probably will be easier to sex the barred rock than the silkie.)

My guess on the Silkie is currently cockerel. And I'm not sure if it's partridge. Partridge would have more coloring and would have looked like a chipmunk with its stripes on the back.
