I know this thread has the possibility of getting closed but I hope to keep it open so lets try and be civil with one-another. If someone posts something hateful just dont respond to it, I will contact an admin and have it taken off. If you dont agree with anything I say that is okay too.

I think that we should all come together in prayer for our world whether you are in the U.S. or Thailand, the U.K. or anywhere else. These seem to be critical times in human history and I feel like we, as Judeo-Christians, should put aside our differences and come together. Catholic, Baptist, Mormon, Presbyterian, Jews and many more, we all have the same basic values and technically worship the same God. I feel that we have a responsibility to stand up and be a light to others in the world. Even if you are not Jewish or Christian you can join us in saying a small prayer for the world we all have in common.

To the American Judeo-Christians, I think hard times are coming...keep steadfast in your faith and know that you are not alone.
Also, pray for Israel. Im sure they need it right about now...

I know this is just a forum, but God works in mysterious ways.

Prayer is good, because, sometimes, that's all we have left.

I say, if you are a true believer, what's coming to pass, will happen, regardless of how much we beat upon our chest or cast dust upon our head, in lamentation.

Not wanting it to happen, on your watch, is human nature, seeing as how, we are all a little selfish, and prefer comfort and ease over trials and tribulations.

As much as man would like to think that he can control the outcome of history, truth is, he's just another domino, in a long line of dominos.

I am not a religious person and I don't pray.
I do hope for the best for the people of this country and I am hoping they are preparing for hard times.
I am have hope that the ones who can't help themselves will be protected and looked after.

The humanist belief is that man is his own god, [Little g, not big] and the he can control the outcome of things bigger than himself...The most recent humanist debacle, is the recent Global Warming Scam. Of course, there was an underlying worldwide fraud, designed to relieve the little man of much of his money, but the rank and file believers, bought into the concept, hook, line and sinker....When nature wouldn't cooperate with their preconcieved plan, they changed the rules of the game, to fit the situation.

I even believe that space exploration has more to do with scientists, [humanists, generally] trying to prove to themselves that God, [Big G] does not exist, than it does, with taking pictures of beautiful galaxies.....If only they could find another world out there, with life on it, then, they could say,"Aha, we told you so.Now, go away, you religious people."

The fact that all the preparation, in the world, will not change the hour of your demise, is the reason that our hope is in something bigger than ourselves, and not our own abilities to control the future.

The day of a one world government is fast approaching, and it is being pushed forward, by evil, greedy men, who, themselves, have a deserved fate waiting for them.

Royd, this is just silly. It is nonsense. Science and religion are NOT at war with one another. Science is merely man trying to understand the universe, not destroy religious beliefs. I fully believe that the Creator of the Universe KNOWS the errors in the various religious beliefs and, PRECISELY BECAUSE OF THE WAY HE CREATED US TO BE, He made sure it is in our nature to question and search for truth and not just accept what others tell us is true. That is what he intended. He gave us a mind for a reason: because he expects us to use it! Using that mind does not undermine Him. It actually REINFORCES the reality that HE created all of this. If there is ever gonna be an "end" it could only occur after we discover how HE created all of this. And since our minds are simply not great enough to accomplish this, there will not be an "end"--only an infinity of time for ALL species to learn about Him. Life did not begin nor will it end with THIS planet. The universe is continuing to expand. Who but the Creator of the Universe could do that?!?

And, btw, I am not a member of ANY organized religion. I go my own way. Oh, and I think that's fine with Him, too. After all HE created all the people who belong to all the religions. If HE seriously disapproved of any of those religions, do you REALLY think they'd still be here? He is the one who created the concept of diversity, after all. Can you think of ANY species out there that only has one variety? Nope. In His universe, the more differences there are, the better He seems to like it. DIVERSITY. Of appearance, use, thought, lifespan--you name it and we have a nice variety!
