This is Dusty. He’s a standard red Naked neck. I’ve never really thought about showing birds and I’ve never had the opportunity, BUT I have a roo and hen with the general things to be a good breeding pair from what I know about the SOP. The hens only issue is her comb isn’t quite straight. Now Dustys comb isn’t perfect but it’s not too bad at least to me. What do you guys think? Could he possibly sire some newbie show-level chicks?

I don't know much about showing birds. I think that the APA might have a book on it, but I'm not certain. If they do, they might have a 2020 version now and it would probably be very expressive. Like $80-$100.

Beautiful Turkens!!! :love:love:love. Dusty sure seems to have a strut that I would be proud of! I can see why you want to look into at least breeding him and possibly showing him.

When I bought the Standard of Perfection (SOP) a couple of years ago, it was $65 dollars, and I had to get a membership with the APA to buy it, which was $25 dollars or so for a one-time membership.

I would definitely invest in the SOP, it's a great book and has a written and picture description of all of the birds that are accepted by APA!

Thank you! He’s so confident and handsome and I love it.
