Judy Gant ??

Judy is rather, umm, particular. She likes to make sure people are serious about getting birds from her. She doesn't sell eggs. At the last show I attended, she was asking $60/pair for her birds because she said she had a lot to sell. Normally they are more.

Another person to contact for OUTSTANDING cochins is Sheryl Butler. She took cochin national in Stockton CA a couple years ago and has very nice birds. SUPER nice lady.

For the type that she has in her birds, I would pay it.

It is so hard to find good bantam Cochins except from someone who really works hard at keeping it. You can lose so much type in just one generation. I love Judy's birds and have tried to get some more for a while now. I hate being broke!

I was at Sheryl's last weekend. I'm *not* a cochin fan, but her birds are so nice, and the type is incredible. The bodies on her birds are wide wide wide.

If you can't get any from Gant, try Sheryl. She's very nice and has fair prices for her stock. She's a good person and very honest in regards to her birds. You should see all the ribbons and trophies from her wins over the years. She has a couple blue hens and cockerels in pens conditioning for show right now that have nice bodies and the MOST incredible lacing. She also has whites and blacks, as well as frizzles.

I think Marjorie Best also has bantams, not sure what colors she has. She's picky about her stock.

Nah, I thought the same thing, or that it was another funny thread about the weird way people "spell" breed names on Craigslist.
