Julie&Julia

I'm looking forward to seeing the movie. When I was a teenager I remember making a recipe from her cookbook for a soup using our leftover turkey after thanksgiving. It was delicious. I made it again the next year. It makes me also want to get the cookbook again.

Miwi. I heard the best parts are with Meryl Streep (of course) I also want that cookbook to go along with all my other cookbooks that I don't use. lol, seriously I have a favourite or two in each of my books and cut out A LOT from magazines and such. Looks like a fun movie.

DF and I loved it. And so did everyone else in the theatre. The guy next to me snorted, chuckled, and chortled the entire time.

I still like to watch her and I grew up watching her back in the 60s. Do not know if I could get hubby out to see that movie but I can rent it when it comes out. Although he watches her now on tv with me

It looked like a good movie Wondering how true to life the movie is.

Hi! Thanks for the great reviews! I can't wait to see it, myself --- and Hubby said under his breath "It'll probably be too girly, but Julia Child was all right".
I read somewhere there was a book (about this story) while Julia was alive and she didn't approve?? Of what exactly, I don't remember.

I've only heard good things about this movie so far. I'm going to see it this weekend. I love Meryl. ASny movie with Meryl is a movie worth watching in my book.

Remember when they would do her on Saturday Night Live? She would whack that chicken up and blood would be squirting all over and she would "sing" her lines. . .hysterical. I think the movie looks great, Meryl Streep is definitely one of the best actors out there!!!
