July Hatch-a-Long

Wow... my broody chickens seem to be great incubator's but not great at the hatch and keep part..... yesterday morn I went out to find one hatched chick, so later I went out to find a different chick and first one missing...... and stupid broodies were playing musical nest..... grrrr so I took the one baby and eggs away and they are sitting on empty nests. Stupid birds. One a good note I currently have 6 live chicks and 3 more maybes

Three weeks old today and spending their first night outside. They enjoyed spending the day scratching for bugs and meeting the flock, but they’re not so happy with me now that it’s starting to get dark. Everyone has to grow up sometime, and now it’s their turn!
