Same here!! I woke up early this morning, excited to check the incubator, then I realized that I don't have any eggs in the incubator. I won't be hatching again until FebruaryI'm so sad about it.![]()
I went back and did the math from this year's hatches. I had 7 hatches, with an average 75% hatch rate. The verdict isn't in on all of the younger chicks but so far, 80% of all chickens I hatched this year are ROOSTERS. Good grief. We'll have to make room in the freezer. I also lost several to a fox attack, and during a storm, lost multiple pullets to flooding. So that's a bummer, but at least I'll have room in the coop to do more hatching next year!
Please let this last hatch be pullets!

I've read in the OT threads to give them ACV in their water supposedly increases the rate of pullets vs cockerels, I've personally never tried it. got about 50/50 last hatch.
