July Hatch-A-Long

One of my eggs was developing a lot slower than the rest and is a definite dud now (no movement whatsoever and I think the veining is fading). I'm not seeing veining anymore in my last frizzle egg and the one with the blood ring wound up not having a blood ring, but I can see the shape of the dead embryo in the egg (because all the veins are gone). This leaves behind 4 eggs out of my 14 :X. First hatch though (so I naturally candled a crapton), so room for mistakes. Hopefully they all make it! Lockdown is tomorrow :)

hello! can i join? my duck eggs are due on july 3-4th

Ya! Did you join the July 4th hatch thread too? We're all coming in with a bang! (Just once I'd like to make a joke that's not cringe-worthy)

Please help my humidity is at 61% and it's day 1 i added about a 1 cup of water because it was really low and now it's super high how do I get it down without disturbing the eggs?

If it's that late in incubation I think you're okay, especially since you caught it in time. Please keep us updated on your babies!
10 hatched for June. Next are due the 3rd and the 4th.....

Don't worry about it. Just don't add water for a bit, and check the air cells for proper size for the development stage at your first candling. A few days high, a few days low, all okay as long as toward the end you keep things a little moister for an easy hatch.
