July Hatch-A-Long

I HAVE AN INTERNAL PIP!

The other two eggs are still eerily quiet, but the third egg has pipped internally and is peeping!

Wonderful, I bet the others will be right behind!!

I think all seven of my Seramas hatched! I have pulled out 6 hatched shells and one egg was finishing the zip! I am kind of stunned.... and really happy! They are so little : ) Hope I get to see them soon. I need to move my girl and babes to a spot where they will have some room and need to figure out a little shelter there. Once they are all hatched, how long till Mama wants to bring them out do you think??

Wobbuffet is going strong, but hasn't made much progress. Float-tested the other two eggs, one wiggled like a champ, the other did also, but barely. I'm going to try and assist him tonight. As if my blood pressure wasn't high enough. ><;;

I now have five littles one
Two assisted hatches
And three eggs with some movement I'm hoping will still hatch

The last assisted hatch doesn't seem ok he cart hold himself upright
Its like his body is too heavy and he's shuffling round on his bum
All the egg sac was absorbed , no bleeding, dried up umbilical cord

His belly does seem big and very rounded, just hope he,ll be ok :hit

Did my first candling tonight of eggs under my broody, it is day 12, The egg sacs are very well developed. One is at the wrong end. It was exciting that I could see what I was looking for. The last batch I had were very dark eggs, and I was not experienced enough to make anything out.

Oh, no! I hope the wrong-end egg knows what to do when the time comes... :/ Are you gonna set it small-end up to try and coax it into turning that way for hatch?

As for me, no updates. The chipped egg still has to absorb its veins, but he's peeping away, totally content to stay put. STILL no activity in the other 2 eggs...so I got one eager beaver and two lazy bums!

The egg is under a broody,... Yet, I am interested... What would I do to try and fix this. I am a hatching beginner.

I don't know, hun. Chicks turn towards the large end of the egg during development, I don't know if yours will turn towards the small end since it's already backwards, or if it's going to have no choice but to pip the wrong end. I'd keep a close eye on it and see what happens.

My broody Wyandotte finished hatching yesterday for a total of 10 babies. One egg was a late quitter and another that I candled on day ten had a blood ring. She's a lot more vicious about me touching her babies than my australorp was who now has 2.5 week old babies.
