July Online Mystery Hatching Egg Swap Now Closed

It doesn't say that on the rules page.
Like I said, would be up to Jim. I was just going by the majority of the swaps. Not trying to step on toes or misinform anyone. Sorry if it was taken that way by her :) . Oh and I meant to also tell her

The only thread that requires you to be a member for 3 months is the Whatcha Got Swap Thread. That is only because we had problems there. All the other egg chains there is no such rule. There has always been newbies that have swapped here. Jim hasn't put that rule on here. I was just trying to correct a mistake that a rule like that hasn't been made yet.

Hey guys and gals,
I put a link on the announcement post (post #2) to my page on shipping eggs. It may be of some help to some of you. I also will be listing whose eggs are on the way on this post as well.

Please do not forget to get me DC#'s when you ship and also let us know when you get your eggs.

This post will be for important announcements (Eggs shipped, tutorials (we have had a lot of new swappers and not a bad refresher for the veterans), updates/Announcements...

If you have something you think should be here, let me know.

My egg packing method. These eggs were shipped to Nsampsel.
These swappers need to be sure their incubator is cleaned and warmed up because eggs are on the way.

Question for you hatchers --

I have a staggered hatch because of many reasons, but the hatcher now has an egg that should have hatched today (no pip yet) and 6 that should hatch Tuesday. There are 4 eggs that need to go into lockdown Tuesday. I was thinking it best to lockdown those 4 eggs now since the one egg hasn't pipped yet. That way I could avoid hurting any potential pipers.

What do ya think??

If your hatcher heats back up quickly, I don't see a problem. I have a separate hatcher and staggered hatches. I lock down on the day I need to even if there are eggs in there already. I make sure I'm quick about it though but my hatcher heats back up quick.

I have 4 bators running & another on the way. I use bator #1 for hatching or (right now) stuff eggs under my broodies to hatch & then steal the chicks to give them more eggs for up to 3 or 4 weeks before I let them keep a few to get them out of the nest. My bators all heat back up fast & humidity rises quickly in the 3 foam ones, so no worries there.

It heats back up pretty quickly, actually. And it needed more water anyway, so we chanced it. The one egg (Little Snowman, a splash Silkie and splash Cochin mix, the egg that Snowman fertilized before he went to a new home) still hasn't pipped that I can see. I sure hope it hatches. The other six are from Zookeeper's June swap eggs. I put in the 4 miracle eggs that developed from the 14 in our recent shipping disaster.
