One of my Female Bobs had been sitting on eggs all year, I didnt think it was consistant enough to hatch, so I kept throwing them out, about 12 at a time so may times i can't count. Well one day I decided to just leave them and see. I played closer attention and soon saw Mr Bob sitting also . I was trying to determine a day to remove and toss. and low and behold on my way out I swore I saw a little for ball moving and went to investigate.There were 12 chicks running around. I didnt have time to put chick crumble in or a proper water dish. when I came In that night I had lost 5 out of 13 due to the heat here in South MS. Im both amazed and sad at the same time. Lesson learned plan for the best outcome and prepare for the unexpected. Give Mother Nature a chance She been doing this longer than we have.
