Jumbo brown question

So I got a new jumbo brown today from a dealer that I have had nothing but problems with it seems. I got this one for free because of all the trouble I've had before. Stupid me I didn't look at it before I got it and when I got it home it has a huge patch of feathers missing, also it looks in between male and female, it's supposed to be female.
My questions are what causes this missing patch as well as what I should do. Second is this male or female?

Looks like a female, the missing feathers could be from overbreeding. Mine looked like that before I got rid of the extra males.

Its a hen and its been a cage where they walk on each other. Its no big deal.
