Jumbo Coturnix Quail - Learn Me A Few Things

Quote:
Molted worms are easier for the birds to digest.

It can be done. I started with 100 worms and now have thousands. The trouble right now is the national shortage most mealworm sellers online are sold out and have been for months.

LOL, it didn't occur to me that you meant molting worms, not molting birds. I've been sitting here trying to figure it out.

Okay just let me figure the shipping cost. I think I have an old mealworm tub the original ones came in somewhere. I could even try to send some pupa instead to quicken the process I have more than enough beetles at the moment to keep my colony going.

Oooh! Oooh! Me too? Me too?

The jumbo coturnix quail eggs I got from SamG are supposed to hatch today/tomorrow so I have been searching for info and found this thread. Since so many of us have Sam's eggs in the bators, thought I'd bump this up.

Miss P - how are your mealworms doing? We already raise the red wiggler worms so we might give this a try too.

I really have to get busy building a pen (which is why I was searching)! Lots of great info here.

I have a tote full of bettles and worms. They grow fast!

My quail from Sam should start laying int he next week or two.

I am trying to figure out which are males.
