Jumbo Pekins

Hello we got three ducklings a week and half ago from tractor supply. We thought they was just regular Pekins but these babies are huge and they not even two weeks old yet. So I think we got Jumbo Pekins. This is my first time having ducks and I heard the legs can break. What can I do to prevent this? My daughter and have already fallen in love with these guys.

They need supplemental niacin. I use brewers yeast in the food and some here use b complex vitamins crushed into the water.

Our TSC duckling roulette resulted in 1 jumbo and two normal Pekins. The jumbo and the normal Pekins grew much faster than the other 6 we brooded.

With jumbo Pekins I’d go back to TSC and pickup liquid B complex it’s in the cattle dept. it will say injectable but we give orally. Using this you’ll be ahead of any problem your duckling can develop. Please post pics we love baby pics. The dose is 1ml per day per duckling for the first 10 weeks that’s when they are growing super fast.

Yes! I went and got it today. Do I put it the water or just get dropped and give straight to them?

If they love treats like peas or mealworms put it over something like that that way it isn’t getting diluted.
