I’ve been hatching quail for a while, but I’m not an expert.
I’m just a guy who likes doing stuff and figuring things out as I go.
Over the years, I’ve hatched all sorts of quail, like:
My main goal has been to breed quail that are basically 'Broiler Quail':
Also, I’ve been doing assisted insemination due to the larger size of the Quail.
One thing I’ve kept going strong is this "Heaven" bloodline.
It’s just something I’ve been trying to keep healthy and consistent to honor an Old Friend passed.
I also threw in some new genetics for good measure:
Midwest stock in 2022
Myshire in 2023 to keep things fresh
That’s pretty much it—nothing too fancy, just a guy and some quail.

Over the years, I’ve hatched all sorts of quail, like:
- Wild ones
- Regular ones
- Jumbo regulars
- White ones
- Jumbo whites
My main goal has been to breed quail that are basically 'Broiler Quail':
- Bigger (because who doesn’t like bigger?)
- Low-fat and tasty
- Healthy and sturdy
How I’ve Been Breeding
I’ve been bouncing back and forth between different setups due to the large size of the birds, like:- Aviaries (for when they are younger)
- Jungle gym-style cages (because they get big and need strong legs?)
- Roll-out cages (for easy mass and egg collection)
Also, I’ve been doing assisted insemination due to the larger size of the Quail.
