Hello out there! I've been reading BYC gleaning great info ~ thank you for all the wonderful information, what a gift this site is! We have been preparing ourselves in every imaginable way in the last six weeks to become good chicken parents to 6 little chicks we will be picking up tomorrow. About 30 years ago I had chickens when I lived on a farm. Their coop was a barn and they were able to constantly free range. Now we live in a rural town, pretty small yard, but big enough for a small coop and run. We are VERY excited tonight, can't wait for morning. Looking forward to actively using the forum and the wealth of chicken-care wisdom within as time goes on. Any words of wisdom are welcome!

Hello and welcome to BYC! :frow Glad you joined.
Please feel free to post pictures of your coop and run and the chicks after you pick them up.
Are you planning to brood them directly in their new coop with a MHP or brooder plate?
