Jumping over babies

No, apparently, El Colacho just jumps over them. That's it.

I don't want to discuss bull fighting issues either, just to add that a few northern Spanish towns have recently banned it, and some others are discussing banning it.

It wasn't taught in your Mexican culture class because it happens in SPAIN! Sounds like an old folk tradition not a religious tradition. Sort of like Halloween here in the States. It started out as All Hallows Eve, and was not a traditonal religious/church custom, but as a pre Christian traditon.

I have heard of this. I would be so worried about him not making the jump! I couldn't do it, but I guess it is a big honor for him to jump over your baby.
