Since it doesn't look like Eric is going to start a thread about his swap I'll start one for him so we can keep from drifting Cmom's Florida/Georgia swaps thread too much.

I'll be there with Midget White and Standard Bronze started turkeys. They'll be about eight weeks old by the time of the swap. $12 each.

Also will have ready-to-lay ISA Brown commercial red sex-link pullets. Eighteen weeks old and ready to lay any day. $13 each. All of the sex-links have been sold

As well as Pearl White Leghorn pullets. These are high production working girls. Thirteen weeks old. $11 each.

Who else is coming and what are you bringing?

Or if you're looking to buy what are you looking for?

I would like to attend. I just got started with chickens in April, so I don't have anything to sell unless someone is interested in a young roo. I have a black australorp, a RIW, and a RIR, all three are about 7 weeks old. I'm interested in a couple of EE pullets, perhaps one of the bronze turkeys, and a couple of your pullets. I've never been to any swaps, are leashed pets welcome?

Welcome to the world of poultry. Poultry swaps are a great way to meet other local, like minded people. Though we try to discourage bringing dogs, as they tend to scare the other animals, we do not stop it as long as they are kept under control at all times. There are a few folks who do bring their small dogs kept on leashes. We welcome you and look forward to meeting you on the 23rd.

Is your RIW rose comb or single comb?

Lots of interest in this swap so far. Let's hope the weather holds. We will be here rain or shine. Everyone has been itchin for a swap as it has been pretty dry around here lately.
We will have new poultry, rabbit and livestock supplies as well as a variety of older chicks available. Also a variety of pedigreed bunnies.
cmom will have cages for sale
Steven will have young Boer bucklings from top bloodlines, great for meat or 4-H projects.
AT Hagan will have Midget White and Standard Bronze turkey poults, Isa Browns and Pearl White Leghorns.

Oh dang I'll be off at the dog show that day! I wish I could attend I have some polish and a couple of silkies I'm looking to sell/trade from my April hatch, maybe a few polish from my May hatch. Is there a plan for another swap not long after this one?
Also, anyone know of any upcoming poultry shows? I have a few I would like to exhibit.

Michelle

The next show will be the Annual Fall Show held at the Citrus County Fairgrounds Auditorium in Inverness, Florida on November 10th 2012. It will be a Double show, with 2 sets of judges looking over the birds. The catalog and entry form will be available the first week of October.

The schedule for the Florida fairs and livestock expositions 2012-2013 season will be posted online in late August.
