I think I may live in chicken & fowl central. There has been more than one occasion that I gave up chicks that I hatched for myself because I couldn't meet the demand and I just told myself I could hatch more, lol! I had to delete a post I made inquiring if anyone was interested in goslings because I now have a longer waiting list than I do eggs and everyone wanted multiple goslings. I set eggs for myself this time and didn't tell anyone but somehow it slipped out in conversation and BAM now I'm sharing these chicks too. :lau

I really want to hatch some quail because they're so tiny and sweet but I can't seem to stop agreeing to hatching others. A friend is giving me 2 more incubators though and one has quail rails...sooo...I have clearly lost my mind. lol
You need a cabinet incubator!

I made inquiries about turkey eggs for a friend...somehow they were just added to my list of hatching eggs along with Call Ducks from another friend. Sounds like only a handful of eggs but I'll know by this weekend! lol! Lots of firsts for me this month!
... I need new friends. :lau

ok, i'm trying one more thread. they say third time is a charm. I assisted a welsh harlequin duck egg that had pipped, but not made progress in at least a day. after starting, i caused some bleeding and stopped. continued a few hours later, and stopped again when i saw more blood. the result is a baby whose face is out and body still in shell. Sheldon has been that way for two days now, in the incubator. I have the humidity at 55-60%. higher than that, it steams up and causes extreme temperature spikes. I didn't want to ever use this incubator again, but had a broody give up right before hatching day, so I candled and transferred eggs that looked viable into the incubator. so here we are now, with a half hatched baby.

@jolenesdad , my flock is a bunch of mutts..lol, I've got 11 of my flock in the incubator with 11 ee's, then have six Americana mixes in the little and my broody has just hatched out 2 from my flock so they are mixes. Baby #1 is the first.. and then the 2nd looks like he's wearing camo, blends right in with the pine shavings.
