Congrats! They're so sweet! Your broody is beautiful! So many pretty broodies this month! Makes me want even more chickens.

She could certainly use a molt but she is a pretty girl and a darn good mama. She is called a "Pearl' OEGB, which is lavender mottled She doesn't really have a name, I just call her Pearl after her pattern.

I love lavender! I’m the crazy lady who named all of her guinea fowl. The wild type pattern is called “pearl” and the pale version is “lavender”. So I somehow managed to name our lavender guinea girl “Pearl” which is super confusing when I’m trying to point her out, like “Pearl is not the pearl colored guinea, she’s that pale one over there”;-)

I used to have guineas of many different colors, but they drive my husband insane so I'm no longer allowed to have any Turkeys are also banned. He's such a meanie.

Okay, sorry to bother you yet again with questions, but my little guy is still the same as before, but now, his chirps are getting a little urgent sounding, almost like he's whining about something ? I don't want to go poking around though, after earlier. Any advice ? It's been well over 48 hours since the external pip. Do I wait it out ?

Mine were very talkative and like little puppies so they wanted to be near the people, which meant pooping all over the deck and jumping on the trucks. The tom would sneak up on my husband while he was working on his truck and do a loud boom and gobble to establish dominance lol.
