I am going to keep some singles, but the big groups will go to another farm. :)
Congrats on your new fluff butts!
I got a Lakeshore Egger from Meyer as well. Here is what she turned out like:
Buttercup

It's kind of hard to see but she is what I call peaches and cream colored. And she lays a pretty light olive colored egg:

I hope you love yours as much as I love mine! 🥰

I forgot to come back and post the quail babies. :p had 11 hatch total, one I had to cull with it’s guts out but everyone else is doing good. I wound up with a nice color variety; the first one is unique in that it was stripes like the wild type but it’s grey/silver. Not sure what that’s going to look like? Then there’re 3 silver looking ones, 3 golden?, and the tuxedo, the white, and the single pharaoh. (At least I think that’s what they all are, these are my first quail. Haha)

Good to know that that they came packaged well from Breezy Bird Farms. I won't be ordering from DC Heritage any time soon as I know a little too much about their history and how they run things. Breezy Bird would probably be my only option for the Hedemoras right now :)
DO NOT order from DC Heritage Poultry!! Believe the negative reviews! Unscrupulous and practicing animal cruelty based on so many sick chicken posts. For me, I ordered 24 Fertilized Jubilee Orpington eggs - ZERO fertility rate - then when I brought this to their attention, they emailed and admitted to using an old rooster with a low fertility rate. ZERO! They replaced eggs with only 16 Jubilee, 2 lavender and 6 chocolate laced Orpington eggs - 20 were unfertilized again and 3 were clearly NOT Orpingtons at all, 2 may be Legbar, 1 is unknown, they admitted putting random egg in by mistake and the other chick, who knows what it is. $12 an egg. Plus knowing they sent unfertilized eggs, they still charged me an additional $72 for shipping. Looks like they switched from a puppy mill to a chicken mill! Anyone having this experience should also report them to the Quebec Government site for ensuring animal safety and welfare. quebec.ca/en/agriculture-environment-and-natural-resources/animal-health/ensuring-animal-safety-welfare
There is an online form for reports or you can call 1-844-264-6289
