It really is impressive when you think about it. It takes seconds but the hens can lay fertilized eggs for sometimes weeks after even when separated from the roo.

If chickens weren't so mean to newcomers the rooster studding business would be alive and well. Lol

Mine are still so mean to him and his girlfriend. :(

And lately to my poor EEs too especially one. Think I might need to separate her.

Wow. She has progressed so rapidly today to clear wry neck I am so glad I have the vitamin e in her. She cannot stand without going straight over to her back. If she wants to move I have to hold her until she wants to rest. Then I can put her down.

this looks bad and I’m so hopeful she can recover. See her neck it’s wrapped around my thumb...
