June Hatch-A-Long

We currently have two more days until lockdown. (I can't believe how fast the process really is!) Out of the 9, we have 7 live eggs at the moment. I am hoping that come next Friday we have 7 healthy chicks!

Based on the eggs, it appears we have 6 seramas (maybe) and 1 silkie. Though we have silkies at the silkie egg is abnormally round, so I am wondering if its not another egg that got tossed in with the mix. But honestly, I'll be happy with WHATEVER healthy chick comes from these eggs. :D

I'm freaking out a bit... luckily I turned off the turner a day before lockdown, so I could encourage my waxed eggs to turn/pip away from the wax. I wasn't expecting hatches until late Tuesday/Early Wednesday, but got two pips this morning! (One of them the worst cracked/waxed). I filled the water reservoir in the Brinsea, but the membrane around the pips already looks really dry. Maybe I'm just being paranoid. Oooh... hatch, chickies!

Unfortunately it's day 19 for my buttons, and there is no sign of them hatching. Hatch date was day 16-17, but recently I found my incubator temps were at 98 the whole time, and not 101 like I intended.

Is there any hope for these guys? I'm worried I killed them.

Have some eggs going into lock down on Tues. in my bator, and a few that I put under my broody. Will be interesting to see how it goes between the two..had them all in the bator for a week before my girl stuck herself to a spot.
