Chick Pics -- Does the silver one not look like a SIlkie??????

Yes that is a silkie. The Ideal is an extra toe on each foot sometimes They don't get them. But the black skin is a give away. Very good broodys and the Rooster are usually good tempered.

the pipped egg has turned into a lovely lil yellow chick a grey stripe on its back.....too cute...no other pips yet but i'm crossing my fingers!!!!

when i got home and went to close the coops, and found one of my older mille cochin babies (newly free ranging) on the ramp in the pond, entirely sogged and several slugs climging on her wings. ICK! so she's in the brooder now with the other babies (3x the size of most of them). she got a bath and a blow-dry, and is happily 'purring' to herself. don't know what else to call it. just a light trill almost inaudible if you're more than a few feet away. LOL she gets to go back outside in the morning.

don't know why she didn't just walk up the ramp like everyone else does.
