The mottled are separate. The black and partridge were together. That's what was marked with a C. If it dries white it is a black. Mottled are yellow.

Put the hatchling in with Little Bob. It was just WAY too loud and insistent. There is another egg in there peeping!

Zookeeper -- the hatchling's egg was white. I think there's a brown egg with a "C" peeping. Were they all from bantam Cochins?

I got the most beautiful surprise today - Thank you (you know who you are) and I most certainly will pay it forward. BYC has the nicest people!

Judges4... My Mottled Cochins lay nearly white eggs. And there's a black frizzle hen in with the black and partridge's, I really don't remember what I sent, sorry

No problem! I can totally understand that. Thanks for the cool eggs! I have another pipped and peeping :)

==============

Got another one out this morning. A black. Those white eggs pip/zip/hatch so fast! It wasn't even pipped last night! There is another brown egg still pipped and looks like it's trying to zip.

We've dubbed the mottled (definitely a mottled) Noisy Butt. I'm going to guess boy on that one. Every boy I've hatched has been noisy! Little Bob got a little aggressive with its feet last night so I put up a divider in the brooder. Apparently that was a stupid effort since they were on the opposite sides of the divider this morning! :rolleyes:
