Hope you understand that I didn't critizise you at all if thats what wclawrence thinks. I have actually PMed back and forth with wclawrence many times before so he should know I am not the put-down type...

Just hate it when feedstores do that. claim something that is not and have people all messed up THINKIN of it. They are a feedstore, they should know better.

I don't think anything bad about you. Just seems like you could have some couth here. It just read to me like you were kinda putting down on the fella. But hey, maybe not. My mistake, my apologies. What I meant was that when I read what you wrote, I would have thought you were a jerk for saying it like that. Not what you said but kinda how you said it.

I really do think you are a nice guy, and at least you are not like me, way more rude in real life than on the computer. Hey I can be a jerk in real life sometimes.

But they are really skittish and not real friendly a lot of the time.

I will stick with my little rooster

and just see how he turns out, actually my wife thinks he is great, she loves to watch him, he is a shiny black and green, I am very surprised at how quick his comb and waddles have turned red, it will be intersesting. He is our only rooster we mainly raise hens for eggs and meat. When he matures I will again post pictures so you can see how he turns out, as far as I am concerned he is different.

I was looking at some pictures of Black Australorp they are black with a green shine, maybe this was what the feed store sold me, orginally the tub said jungle fowl, does anyone have any of these.

Chickens are hard to tell even at that age, especially in black. Haha. I will search for ya and let ya know : )
