Jungle Fowl 'Ivan' pictures, Boy or Girl?

Cant be sure it is 100% jungle fowl as they are are kept with domestic chicken at the park. The mother was a jungle fowl but as we cant be sure she is 100% either, they are not in a breeding programme hence living with the domestic chucks.

Ivan wont breed with jungle fowl as his blood line may not be pure.

Jungle fowl do have a good chance of producing pure blood lines in a mixed flock of domestic chickens because the cockerels are so aggressive for breeding rights. They will more than likely cover all the jungle fowl hens and domestic hens.

looks like a Hen to me but you never know... you can say something now and then later it's the opposite..

Hand reared when he was left behind by the others at a safari park in the north west of england.

We heated little Ivan up and he came alive, does he live with us or return to the safari park is dependant on whether it is a roo or hen. Any guesses would be welcomed.

If its pure junglefowl, its definitely a male. Female junglefowls never grow any comb or wattles
