Just a bit miffed? Insulted? Annoyed? *small rant*

I am not sure exactly what emotion I am going through after this phone call. Out of the blue a woman's voice says:

W- Hi. Your ancona ducklings are 3 days old and ready

Me - Yes, I know they are all well and in their brooder in my bathroom

W- No they are here for you to pick up

Me- Nope do not think so

W- Did you contact company xxx awhile back about anconas?

Me- Yes, I inquired on your policies, pricing, shipping and etc.

W- Well you have ducklings

Me- Yes I do they arrived from Holderread on Tuesday

W- That's funny lady come get your ducklings

Me- I do not have any to pick up woman

W - You have ducklings...come get them

Me- Did I pay you for them?

W- Not yet

Me- Then it looks like YOU have ducklings. I did not place an order with you but filled out your stupid contact form to GET the silly information and I do not want your ducks!

W - I will sue you

Me- Make my weekend DO IT! Besides doesn't your stock from come Holderread anyway?

W- What does that matter?

Me- I bought from the best because I wanted the best, which you obviously did too since yours came from them...I have no clue how you raise your ducks but judging from your business practices I feel sorry for them.

Okay What the XXXX was that about? I filled out their little contact email form IONS ago never got a reply and Holderread was recommended and I ordered, paid and got my ducklings and this wench calls me telling me to come get my ducks? Threatens to sue me which is the absolute least of my worries but just the nerve and audacity.

Where do these people come from? I want to know so I never go there.

Yep that is what I thought. I did check the number in cross reference and it is from the "farm" so someone at their number made that call.

LOL no the caller ID and cross reference direction show the name of the company.

well what can I say...start a waterfowl farm that close to Holderread, buy his stock to start your farm and try to compete with him...sounds stupid to me. Maybe duckie sales are not so good for them and her hope was that I would say "Oh great, I will come buy them" Who knows. But she insisted I put the ducks on order and their policy is to call when they are ready.

Sorry cannot help her I got the ducks I ordered.

I had a similar situation with a feed store last year. I wanted them to order me some cornish crosses. They ordered them and gave me a date to pick them up. I showed up on that day and they weren't there. They gave me 2 other dates to pick them up. No shows again. I finally told them to cancel my order, I would go to another store. She told me she was going to charge me a restocking fee. I told her to STICK IT!
