I love the way the buff roo looks standing guard over his flock. That's just pretty to me. I'd love to have a flock that large with only one roo. He'd be less mean I expect because he'd be so busy keeping watch over his girls.

My roo appears to be starting his molt. Of course they spent all day yesterday in the rain... silly birds. He was hatched last spring so he is about 1 year older than the pullets. He is very protective but has never showed any aggression toward any people. But if a dog comes near the run he makes sure he stays between the dog and his pullets.
