When you have alot to say, make paragraphs!!!!!! Be succinct. I see posts I want to comment on, yet the post is 195,000 lines long.... Please?

Let me introduce you all to the tl;dr.

Here I post a very long post about something that's important to me. There's a lot of detail and a long backstory that I'd like people to read but due to the length and lack of punctuation I can guess that a lot of people won't. So instead of just posting that and hoping for the best I can actually summarize what I wrote below with the tl;dr (too long; didn't read) so people can just scan to the bottom and get the gist of what I'm saying.

tl;dr: posters can summarize their info down here.

I see this every once in a while - - - Is it REALLY that big of a problem. Are there a lot of posters who write 195,000 line long threads ?

Maybe in the Family Story section - - - - it shows up frequently, but do you see it a lot in other forums?

In this day and age, I would think most don't have the patience to type anything that long.

debiraymond ... everyone has their own way of expressing themselves and should be allowed to do so.... Copy/Paste the section you want to comment on and move on!

yep, I am guilty of this. I also do run on sentences, but that is how I talk

. I could take the time to make proper paragraphs, sentencing but why? My brain is taxed enough and I'd rather let it flow

I know me personally... if i see something posted thats a mile long and there is no end in sight... I wont even bother reading it

Oh and as for punctuation and grammar and spelling... we are not in grammar school.. this is the internet.. we are not expected to all be perfect

I don't ask for, expect, or present grammatical perfection. But if I can't understand the post due to a total lack of punctuation and the use of textspeak and internet lingo, there is no way I can even think about providing a response.

I dont expect perfection, but when someone is asking for help, I hate having to get a ruler just to read the post. I dont care about grammar or spelling, etc. But the run on posts with no breaks makes it hard to read, and then the OP probably doesnt get the help the really need!

to each their own, doesn't bother me. I have to many kids, and have seen their crappy work...lol.
