i don't know for sure if this is actually going to happen but i crossed a silver campine rooster with an egyptian fayoumi hen and i set the eggs. first of all i should say that the rooster carries the gold gene and it looks like he passed it along.well they are now getting to the age where i can start guessing the gender and when they hatched i had about five that came out gold and six or seven that came out silver all of the gold ones have very very small combs and all the silvers have bigger much redder combs and wattles which makes me think that all of them that are gold are pullets and the silvers are cockerels i have no plans of breeding these together but if i can get another pair or even another hen i would try to see if i got the same result with them and if i did try to produce a strain of them that will keep these traits and maybe if no one else has done it create another autosexing breed since all the probable pullets hatched out with the pattern of a gold and all the suposed cockerels hatched out with the silver pattern. what do you guys think
