Just a quick easy construction question. help pls

Hi I'm new to chicken raising and I'm building a coop first before they arrive. My largest question is how big should the chick entry and exit door to the run be.
not sure how tall the chicks will get
how big should the door be? Thanks

One book I have says a 10' wide x 13" tall door is fine. Then I have a plan I found online that has it as 12" x 12".

I have been pondering this as well.

Thanks for the reply, that sounds good.
I was thinking I wanted to keep it large enough for the birds but small enough a lot of the predators that could make it thru my run won't get in the coop.

I lthink I'll use 12 x 12 for mine.

My pop door is 12" tall and 7" wide. Plenty big enough for my largest Heritage RIR.
