Just a quick question....

Can you incubate eggs(from my flock) that have been refrigerated? I only ask because I have eggs from the last two days in the refrig. Decided to incubate some eggs and was just wondering if thats even possible, to use refrigerated eggs that is....TIA!

Yes, but why not just stay collecting today? refridgerated eggs are not the ideal eggs to incubate but it is possible to have some if not all hatch.

Last year I had some eggs hatch that I had in the fridge. We had a dog get our rooster and I really wanted some of his babies so I grabbed the next couple of days eggs and also pulled a few out of the fridge. I did let them sit out for about 24 hours before I put them in the incubator. Hmmm... maybe it was closer to 2 days because I had to make sure the incubator was steady. Either way, yes it is possible. However they do say that it cuts the fertility rate down. I only had 2 quiters out of my 12 eggs. And I had one that did not hatch, when I opened the egg it had alot of problems and I was glad that it did not hatch

Interesting! I think Ill just collect eggs the next couple days and use those. I may throw a few refrigerated ones in just to see how they do. Thanks for the info!
