Thank you Duckinnut. I don't talk a whole lot about these things outside of the home, so I have found that I really enjoy venting here on BYC. I really apreciate everyone's patience with my whining. Most of the arrangements are almost finished. This makes me anti smoking now more than ever.

Sorry for your loss. This will be hard for your mother-24 years together is a long time, & then her being sick on top of that is a big adjustment. I hear you about the smoking-my husband died from conditions related to his smoking habit & I would not get involved w/any man that smoked after that.

A good update, I found a reliable place that I was able to get 24 Russian Orloff pullets and a cockeral from. I still hate loosing my dear "Ice Cream Sunday" and his hens but it is all right

not because I didn't care. But because I cared too much.
I've thought of you, your family, many times in these past
days.

I do not know the words tonight to ease your mind. Just a
hard part of life.

It rained here this evening and there was a beautiful rainbow.
I stood there and looked at it, and I thought of your step father.

I'm glad your sister was there with you, and for you.

But now the two of you have a job to do...

Please watch over your mother as she faces this, and her
own health issues.
