Just a swollen crop from the heat or actually sick?

Hello! I am brand new to BYC and I have a concerning question about my chicken. Fairly recently we got a new bunch of chicks from a not so great breeder (you could say I rescued them) the conditions were very unsanitary and one of the chicks already passed away from respritory something. I took the other 3 little ones to the vet today, but when I got home and went out to see my older girls( I keep them separated and wash my hands as to not expose the older ones to infection as well) I noticed that my Rhode Island Red named Ginger was making wierd noises almost like there was water in her stomach she was trying to swallow and I noticed that her crop was very inflamed. It has been abnormally hot here the last few months and my chickens are not used to this kind of heat. She vomited a few weeks ago and it was sticky and white and someone told me to not be concerned as that was partially due to the whether. Am I just being over worried because the little ones are sick or is it something I should be severely concerned with in the older Hen? Basically I believe it could be her crop and it is squshy but she does not smell foul or anything so could this be because of the heat?
