Went and saw the foot doc today. I have been having trouble with my foot. I had seen a doctor over 5 years ago and they said I had a bone spur between my heel and arch. Just do stretches and that will help. It did for awhile.

Now with the weight loss it has gotten really bad.
Dr said on a scale of 1 to 10 this bone spur is a 10 in size. no kidding I can feel it.
So he wants to either give me a cortizone shot or have me do different stretches and go on prednisone for 10 days and see if that helps. If it does not then it looks like going in for surgery to have it taken off. then I would be on crutches for around 4 weeks but at least a majority of the pain would be gone.
I went with the pills and stretching. He also put a couple of insert heel pads in my boots and they helped for awhile and now my foot is killing me again.
I did ask why not just do the surgery and he said he wants to see if it can be improved with doing it.

Guess right now I am just resigning myself to go for surgery.

My mom had a bone spur a few years ago. She had the cortisone shot and never had anymore trouble with it, though I doubt it was anywhere near the size your is. I bet you're miserable. Foot pain is no fun. I have high arches and while we were doing renovations on our new house I was on my feet a lot. I got bursitis in the ball of my foot. It hurt like mad and I ended up having to pop it. OUCH! I hope you find relief soon.
