    Chickaroos In the Brooder

I worked for hours today on the HUGE oversized area in my yard for the chickens! Its really big and im SO excited for them! I have a little project that im going to work on this weeked, so pictures will follow! Just wanted to brag a little!
I brought my 6 older chicks outside with us while I worked (they were in their coop since all my fencing wasent fully up) and they seemed to love it! I cant wait to see them run and peck around in their new area!
I cant believe how fast they are growing feathers! My 16 day old chicks are almost fully covered with their new feathers! And our 8 day olds are growing their wing feathers rather quickly too!
Our newbies are not to fond of us just yet, but the old girls have started coming to me when I reach into their brooder and if I put my hand out, they will jump onto it :)

Yay!! It's amazing at how fast they grow! I have 9 day olders now and wow.. they don't look like fuzzy little chicks anymore. We thought we'd have a good 6 weeks before putting them outside, but the way they are growing and the temperature outside - it might be sooner! I need to finish our yard and coop as well! I'd love to see pics!!

What are you using for a run? (if you have one?) We are going to get hog panel and use it (with hardware cloth attached).

We also will have a "chicken area". We have been moving things around in it so we can place the coop in a more protected area of the yard. Oh I am so excited!
