Hey everyone,
I joined this community a couple days ago and have been reading as much as I can here and elsewhere. We are a family in Bellevue NE and have been thinking about trying as a family to build a coop for a few 2-5 hens, and add them as family members. I personally grew up here with my Aunt on a small farm that had everything from cattle, corn fields, horses, cherry orchards, coyotes, raccoons, lousy bugs and kid fun with 3 wheelers and galvanized pools. I have since been tamed in the city so I really appreciate the knowledge I can draw upon here. I appreciate being a new part here and hope to share as much as I can about our journey with this.

I was thinking of Rhode Island Reds but my daughter wants Easter Eggers so I suppose the jury is still out on that.
