I just wanted to brag among those that understand! My chicken lays the most beautifully yolked eggs I've ever seen! They're rich, dark orange like the flesh of tangerines! I'm so pleased, especially considering I wasn't sure how she would lay because her mother is a cornish X!
This picture doesn't even do them justice!
And this is the artist herself as a young hen. I'm especially proud because she was my very first incubator hatch, and a c-section at that (she pipped the wrong end and couldn't zip).
She's laid perfect, med/large, hard shelled eggs once a day size she was about 4 months. She's pretty awesome. That's all
