Rach, I agree with 100% of this.. It did happen on their property, but I do want to mention I did ask them to contain their dogs. It happened for about a month or so..
It was a big mishap, and although my 9 year old was close, my dog would have died keeping the others away from her. Now about her strength... 99.99% of the time he has on a training collar... those big mean things with metal spikes on the inside so if he pulls, he is not only choked, but poked in the throat. Dragging her caused him extreme pain... And him acting without my verbal command tells me he thought it was nescessary. Once I told him stand down he tried to back out of the fight but defended himself only so much till he could get to me. in 99.99% of situations that collar makes him leash friendly to even a 5 year old.
I do agree, my dog is dog aggressive. I told my neighbors this when they moved in when I asked them to leash their dogs and pointed to my 1/2" coated steel cable that his tie off is made of. Human aggressive? Not usually. He has folks he doesn't like but he will stop 5' away, growl and force them to back down. They try to push past him when he's on guard, he'll get em. He will nip their heels
Now if I yell Angrim then he will do whatever it takes to make sure the threat is neutralized. Only areas he avoids by training is armpits, and crotch areas as I don't want a dead perp by dog bite... Just one that's sore and demoralized.
Believe it or not, he's also a big baby when he's off duty. Sleeps on the couch with the people he's bonded to.
Viscious mutt isn't he?
as he strikes a pose....
he also eats chemo kids for breakfast......
