I am so proud of myself for not passing out in the middle of it.

My whole family took part in it. My kids have been really entertained about the whole thing and decided that they wanted to try out butchering before we really went full into doing meaties.

Not too bad for a city girl that hates the sight of blood if I may say so myself !

Cool! So did you caponize yourself? How big was it and how many weeks to get there?

I did not caponize it myself, a local lady here does it and had some in reserve for me to buy. I wanted to get something to try it on before I even thought about attempting to do it with any of my birds.

It dressed out to about 4 lbs or so it seems and looks fantastic They are about 7 months now as well. I have some cornish crosses here that are going to be next at the end of December !
