Are you wearing the stairs out yet? I really think you should either set the bator up downstairs or move the computer up to where the bator is.

With a two year old I need to leave the eggs completely untouchable.

And yes, I have only just come down the stairs having been up there with the flash light trying to see a pip or a crack somewhere in those shells.

No luck! Nothing!

But every once in a while I think I hear a faint peep but it could be my imagination playing tricks on me!

Day 29

Candling during cool down shows 3 live goslings in the eggs.

Do the Embden's have blue eyes? My pair have pulled some feathers or down out of themselves to line their nest while I was gone this last week. Just got back home yesterday so am catching up on this excitement

(My biggest male weim had a bone stuck in the roof of his mouth, not a dislocated or other jaw problem like I was scared of. The bone severed the artery though and while we were stormbound, the pressure of the bone helped seal the end of the artery before we got to Fbks and had it removed, and surgery on Wednesday morning- all turned out well, we were extremely lucky!)

I put a 5 gallon water bucket in and a 3 1/2 gallon feed bucket so no one would interrupt my pair while I was gone. My daughter peeked in the window of the coop a few times but the goose gave the evil eye so she stopped spying. Snowflake and Grazie didn't get off the nest when I checked on their feed/water levels yesterday but "talked" to me
