I'm 80% sure I see what is either a chicken baby or muscovy duckling growing!!!

If the egg is especially filthy, I would say duck. My chickens are decent at keeping their eggs clean, but a duck egg... is ALWAYS filthy.

We've assumed it's chicken laying cause it's almost always int he hen nest box...but the shells feels like our shipped duck hatching eggs...and the innards are thicker. Anyhow now we're findign them in the duck house, being well guarded by our little lady muscovy.

I broke the news today to our mothers, who hve been eating our "chicken eggs'
