(1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens?
YES, So new I don't own any just yet. I've been enjoying others chickens and the eggs on the ranch here.
(2) How many chickens do you have right now?
0, but I have 9 ducks and they are great layers, I just think I'm allergic to the eggs so I'm getting a few chickens.
(3) What breeds do you have?
Khaki Campbells ducks. I could use some suggestions for good layer chickens.
(4) What are your favorite aspects of raising backyard chickens?
The fresh eggs, of course. The ducks are pretty like-able characters and I most likely would not be able to harvest them for their meat. I'm sure if we were starving, I might think otherwise.
(5) What are some of your other hobbies?
Working with horses and dogs. Fixing what ever is broken. Re-purposing all things recyclable. Playing, recording and producing music on guitar, bass and keyboards with the help of electronic rhythm devices.
