If I set my eggs at 10am on 30th September, I would turn the egg turning off at 10am on 17th October, right? And they should hatch on 20th? I've had so many incubator problems i'd hate to mess up this step!

Wouldnt it be the 18th at 10 am? I turn my eggs day 1-18 and stop turning 19-21. Maybe Im wrong but that is what most books Ive read say. I dont think it would really harm them though? I have eggs due the 17th!!! Set them the night of the 26th so Im going to stop turning the 14th. But I am new to this so maybe someone can give you better advice.

The way I count it that if I set them before noon, that same day counts as Day One; after noon, then, the next day would be Day One. I stop turning and raise the humidity sometime on Day 18, usually toward the end of that day. Sounds like you have it right, but it can vary by a bit, like upping the humidity on Day 19, and you'll do fine.

I agree with Cyn.

On yours, stop turning on Oct. 18. Hatch day should be Oct. 21.
Be prepared for chicks to hatch as early as Oct. 19, if your temp get a little high.

I was looking at Sept & Nov. calendar!!! I'm sorry to confuse you more. I changed the dates in my post. I know better than to do math at this time of morning...12:36 am
