Just curious who else is living super frugal

Or do as I did on one molar, just have it pulled....
Yep, that is what I am going to do tomorrow - about $200. I figure I will need dentures sooner or later; so might as well get a head start!

I did that with one.... I havent gone to Mexico yet but I have had friends over the years go down there for dental work. My Ex roommate went to Tecate to see her dentist. Expect everything to be about a third of what it is here. Any less run away. Oh and go with a referral.

*sigh* I've gone back over 40 pages and still cannot find the post that had the dry laundry soap (zote, baking soda, washing soda, borax). Does anyone have it handy?

Quote: Love your rant Dennis!!! YEs the young people will age and they too will go thru the stages we all morphed thru until we realize it is all smoke and mirrors. THe real wealth is our knowledge and wisedom acquired by living . . . I'm about 20 years behind you . . and will catch up in another 20 . . . .

My niece is married to a dentist-- with 400,000$ in debt for dental school. It is all a shell game imo.

To save my teeth I have changed my diet. After reading much on how our teeth "age" with use: meat eaters of long ago did not have the teeth and bone problems of the grain eaters. In my house grains have virtually disappeared. Plenty of good clean meat, lots of veggies to be had at the grocery thanks to modern transport to supplement the garden, and sugars and sweets are OUT along with breads, rice, pasta, etc. One tooth replaced for $1200 WITH dental insurance was a kick in the pants to help change my families diet.

Good luck with the tooth pullling-- hope it all goes well.

Remember to take probiotics as they will give you antibiotics.
